We are delighted to present a service engineers role ‘with a difference’ that will suit a special type of engineer with personality and relationship building skills. Our client is looking for an engineer who enjoys the client facing aspect of their role and will be well rewarded for developing good business relationships with clients – could this be you?

A very respected international client from the food process industry is looking to recruit a skilled engineer with good interpersonal skills to join its team in the UK. The role is an interesting and multi-faceted one which will involve a variety of involvement in different areas, including service and maintenance calls, dealing with technical enquiries, training clients on use of machinery and also helping to sell the companies equipment and service contracts to clients (for which you will be rewarded via a company bonus scheme)

The Service Engineer role presents an excellent opportunity for engineer who also wishes to be more client facing and broaden their skill base, building relationships with clients across the Northern territory.

The company is currently experiencing a sustained period of success, with new products being launched continuously, this is an ideal time to join and build a successful career with a market leading company within the food process sector.

Due to the nature of the role applicants must be flexible to on occaision work outside of standard 9-5 hours as required (the company will take this into account with time off in lieu) and also is flexible in attitude and willing to take on responsibility outside purely dealing with engineering matters and being an ambassador for the company and its services. The ability to be personable and deal with clients in a professional and friendly manner will be key to the success of the role.

Essential requirements include.

  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering / service background.
  • Full Clean Driving License
  • Willingness to travel and stay away from home approx. 2 nights each week.
  • Positive “Can-do” flexible attitude
  • Good relationship building skills
  • Personable and able to deal well with clients in a professional manner
  • Keen for success, keen to progress.

In return the role offers a good basic salary of approx £40,000, use of a company vehicle (Ford Ranger), with the opportunity to earn continual bonuses, as well as joining an internationally renowned manufacturer of quality process equipment and all the opportunities for personal progression that will present.

A clients has recently engaged our agency to find a Business Development Manger to cover the UK and Ireland managing existing accounts selling capital equipment to specialist waste contractors. Please see our advertisement below.

Business Development Manager role covering Great Britain & Ireland selling capital equipment and service solutions to specialised waste contractors (who are all currently existing customers.) This is a great sales career opportunity for someone who is happy to work from home and travel throughout the UK as required. If you enjoy working with a small group of already established customers, developing further business opportunities and new products then this is the perfect role for you. Of course visits to the Irish and Midlands HQ’s for training and meetings will be required periodically, along with a great deal of support from the sales and operations teams based from both. This role will give the successful applicant a chance to further develop existing clients. With a strong existing customer base in the UK the foundations are set for a very enjoyable and rewarding stage of your business development career.

You must;

  • Have an established background in business development.
  • Have sold high value capital equipment.
  • Be willing to travel in the UK & Internationally as required

Highly desirable but not essential

  • Capital equipment into waste / recycling industries.

Salary Circa £45k Basic + Package inc Commission
