Internal Specification Sales – North Birmingham. . Our client is a very successful family business established over 100 years providing bespoke engineering solutions for a wide range of industry sectors Automotive, Military, Energy, Education, Water Treatment, Electrical Engineering and Scientific as well as many others.
Dealing with inbound customer enquiries the role entails producing detailed bespoke quotes and proposals involving a range of technical specifications depending on the individual requirements of the client and can include a range of factors from temperature, corrosive resistance, sound attenuation, electrical fittings.
The role requires a strong background in internal sales, and may suit someone from the building services sector or and industrial fabrication background.
Due to the nature of the internal sales role, occasional client visits and fact finding on site, the candidate does require the ability to drive and have their own vehicle.

The role offers a basic salary £36-40k + Company Bonus.

Essential Requirements

Internal Sales Experience
Driving licence and own vehicle (occasional client visits may be required)
Ability to produce detailed specifications
Excellent Communication Skills
Customer Focussed Attitude
Confident in all Microsoft Packages
Easily commutable on a daily basis to North Birmingham

Advantageous Requirements (Not essential)
Experience with Building Services
Experience with Fabrication / Bespoke Engineering Projects

Engineering background or engineering qualification would also be of interest but not essential.

Internal Technical Sales – Birmingham

Internal technical sales / account manager based close to NEC Birmingham, West Midlands.

This technical internal sales position, (West Midlands based) will involve selling a range of specialist technical products and equipment to a wide range of manufacturing sectors throughout the UK. This rewarding internal sales role will require that your sales, new business and account management capabilities are first class, advising customers on the technical features, and benefits of using the products. The role is based in the office at Birmingham Business Park next to the NEC and Birmingham International Train Station. Reporting directly to the UK Manager, you are fully responsible for hitting all your targets for the sales area. The role will also involve occasional visits to clients so individuals must be smartly presented. Full and ongoing product training will be given. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Outbound Sales Experience.
  • Possessing natural sales ability.
  • A pro-active, new business type sales person with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate confidently & build rapport at all levels of authority with clients & colleagues.
  • Desire, passion and hunger.
  • Quick learner / able to learn about new technology.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Knowledge of using basic IT packages such as Microsoft office 365.
  • Proven sales success.
  • Valid Passport as 2nd interview will be at International HQ in Europe.

THE PACKAGE:

Basic Salary: £25,000-28,000 dependent on experience.

Commission: 5-10% on sales above budget.
