A leading food process machinery manufacturer is seeking a driven and dynamic sales engineer to join their UK team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid sales background, finding new routes to market and a passion for building strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients, building rapport and understanding their technical needs to provide tailored solutions.
  • You’ll split your time between the office and visiting clients across the UK and Ireland, with regular travel and overnight stays.
  • You’ll manage new business development as well as some existing accounts, aiming to hit sales targets while providing top-notch service.
  • Prepare and conduct demonstrations and trials for machinery and equipment.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop and implement business strategies that drive growth.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong sales background with proven success in technical sales, ideally within machinery or manufacturing.
  • Ability to investigate and find potential new routes to market for the company products.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to quickly connect with clients.
  • Resilience, tenacity, and independence with a knack for problem-solving and analysis.
  • Strong team-working skills with the ability to manage customer relationships efficiently.
  • High-level administrative skills, especially for CRM database management.

What’s On Offer:

  • Basic Salary: Up to £48,000 per year (dependent on experience)
  • Bonus: Potential to earn circa £15,000 in bonuses annually.
